As members of POP, we have a unique opportunity to make a real difference. Here’s how we can engage with each patient effectively using the SAVE method:
Seek: Begin by understanding your patient’s current status regarding COVID-19 vaccination.
Ask/Educate: For those who haven’t been vaccinated, initiate a conversation about the vaccine. Provide clear, factual information to help them make an informed decision if they have reservations.
Vaccinate: If a patient is ready to be vaccinated, facilitate this either directly or by guiding them to a suitable vaccination location.
Empower: Encourage your patients to be advocates in their own circles by sharing their vaccination experiences and status.
Together, let’s continue to make a positive impact in our communities by staying informed, prepared, and proactive in the fight against COVID-19.
